How We're Paid: Clear, Upfront, and in Writing
We know cost is one of the first questions people ask when choosing a financial advisor. Here is how we're paid, the conflicts of interest that pay creates, and where to find complete details.
We're fiduciaries
When we provide investment advice to advisory clients, Inspire Advisors, LLC is required to act in your best interest. Acting as a fiduciary does not eliminate conflicts of interest; it requires us to disclose them and manage them in your interest.
An asset-based advisory fee, and the incentive it creates
Our advisory fee is a percentage of the assets we manage for you. It is typically deducted from your account and shown on your statements.
Because our fee grows as the assets we manage grow, we have an incentive to recommend that you bring more assets to us and to keep them invested with us. For example, this incentive can exist when you are deciding whether to roll over a 401(k), pay down debt, buy a home or business, or withdraw money. We address this by basing recommendations on your goals and documenting the reasons for them.
Insurance is offered through separately licensed agents
Insurance products are not offered through Inspire Advisors, LLC. If insurance is appropriate for your plan, it may be offered by advisors acting in a separate capacity as licensed insurance agents. They may receive commissions from the insurance company, which gives them an incentive to recommend insurance products. You are never required to buy insurance through them, and we will tell you whether compensation is involved before you decide.
Financial planning fees and affiliated products
If a separate financial planning fee applies to your engagement, it will be stated in your agreement before any work begins. If your portfolio uses investment products managed by an affiliate of Inspire Advisors, our affiliate may earn fees from those products in addition to our advisory fee, which is a conflict of interest. Form ADV Part 2A explains which of these apply and how we manage them.
Your first conversation costs nothing
The introductory call is free, with no obligation and no pressure. We'll walk you through what the fee covers for your situation so you can compare us with any other option.
Other costs to be aware of
Funds and ETFs held in your portfolio have their own internal expenses, which are in addition to our advisory fee.
Custodians may charge certain transaction or account fees.
Where to find complete information
Our Form ADV Part 2A contains our full fee schedule and a complete description of our conflicts of interest. Our Form CRS provides a shorter summary. Your exact fee is stated in your advisory agreement before anything is signed.
